A FIFA investigation into allegations of corruption linked to its recent presidential election may be extended to interview two further Executive Committee members. A "well-placed source" has told David Owen of the online newsletter, Inside World Football, that Asian delegates Worawi Makudi of Thailand and Sri Lanka's Manilal Fernando may be probed.
"While there is no suggestion that either man has done anything wrong, it is thought that they may have accompanied Mohamed Bin Hammam, the former FIFA Presidential challenger and currently suspended President of the Asian Football Confederation, on his controversial trip to the Caribbean," commented Owen.
