Vietnam may play a friendly match against Spanish Primera Liga club Barcelona in Hanoi next May, Vietnam Football Federation’s media department told Vienam News. VFF Chairman Nguyen Trong Hy met Barcelona’s marketing representative, Joshua Thomson, in Hanoi last Sunday to discuss future co-operation between the two sides. During the meeting, Spanish representatives announced they will assist the VFF with coach training. Hy, who is the newly promoted Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, invited the Spanish club to send its best stars to a friendly match against Vietnam in mid-May next year.
