Saudi Arabia eased into the AFC Asian Cup 2007 quarter-finals with a 4-0 rout over Bahrain in the Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium in provincial Palembang, Indonesia. It took the lead on 17 minutes after strike Yasser Al Qahtani threaded a ball into the Bahrain penalty area which took a deflection and broke nicely for Ahmed Al Mousa, who rounded the 'goaleeper and sidefooted the goal. and Abdularahman Al Qahtani made it 2-0 just on half time. On 72 minutes Taisir Al Jassam struck a powerful shot from outside the penalty box and Al Jassam added another 10 minutes from regulation time.
