Malaysian Super League club Sarawak has acted quickly after three of its players were remanded by police for possession and consuming dangerous drugs at their apartment in Kuching. Team manager Razali Dolhan confirmed that the three had been dropped as the Crocs struggle to avoid the drop to the second-tier Premier League competition. Sarawak is staring at another defeat tomorrow when they travel to Bandar Seri Begawan to play high-riding DPMM Brunei.
"It will be cash-strapped Sarawak’s first away match after calling off their Malaysia Cup match against Pahang on May 26 as they had no money to buy the flight tickets for the trip to Kuantan. Yesterday, 15 players and three officials took a 15-hour journey in an 18-seater coach to Miri where they will spend the night. The team will travel to Brunei on match day. To further cut costs, the team administrator Abdillah Mail drove the coach," Rizal Abdullah reported for The Star.
