US beer company Anheuser-Busch has announced it is renewing its sponsorship of the English Premier League. The worldwide deal, extended to all company brands, commences on 1 June with main focus in the UK and China on Budweiser. the “Official Beer of The Premier League” and “Official Website Partner” until 2010. "We are delighted to renew our relationship with what is officially the greatest football league in the world. This ongoing deal will allow Budweiser to reach Premier League fans around the globe. Budweiser and the Premier League set the very highest standards in everything that we do, and we look forward to continuing this successful partnership,” explained Tony Pontur, vice president of global media and sports marketing at Anheuser-Busch, to The Publican.

Budweiser will also become official beer of the 2007 and 2009 Asia Trophy tournaments. The brand is also continuing its official beer sponsorship of Manchester United, Manchester City, and the FIFA World Cup.
