The Asian Football Confederation has assured the All Manipur Football Association of financial help to implement its Vision India pilot project. On a day long tour of Manipur state, Brendon Menton, the AFC's Director for National Associations and Clubs, said monetary help would complement the technical expertise offered. "A meeting at the Vision office discussed the future of the Manipur State League, the first of which saw the relegation of two teams, SAI and Youth Welfare Organisation. In the second league, which is scheduled to kick off in October, North Imphal Sporting Association and United Sporting Association will fill in," reported Robert Sapam for The Telegraph. The AFC also stressed the need to hold an AFC ‘B’ Licence course next year in the state.
