Bahrain Football Associaition official, Sawsan Taqawi, is attending a three-day workshop for women's football commissioners in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The only Bahraini and Arab women chosen by the Asian Football Confederation for this event, Taqawi will be among 80 commissioners from across the continent. Her selection was based on her performance at a commissioners' course organised by the AFC last year, Gulf Daily News reported. "The AFC has also selected Taqawi as a commissioner for the Asian zone Group 'B' qualifier for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The group consists of four teams - Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Maldives - with its matches scheduled from February 19 to 23, the newspaper added.
