The proposed takeover of English Premier League club Liverpool by western Asian-based Dubai International Capital is likely to be delayed well into next month as American businessman George Gillett Jnr is ready to submit a bid to take control at Anfield. "Gillett, who owns the Montreal ice hockey team and was formerly in charge of the Harlem Globetrotters, intends to offer shareholders about £5,000 per share and values the club at about £170 million. DIC's valuation is nearer to £155 million," Dominic Fifield reported in The Guardian.
