Asian air carrier, Qatar Airways, is supporting the Middle East launch of the Manchester United football club's ultimate collection of memorabilia. A 800-page limited edition book weighing 35 kg, the Man United Opus recounts the entire history of the club, featuring exclusive ground-breaking editorial, including interviews with Sir Bobby Charlton, Eric Cantona, Sir Alex Ferguson and current star players Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs. It contains more than 400,000 words and 2,000 photographs.
A star-studded launch charity gala dinner will be held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai where the "very first book" with an estimated reserve price of £250,000 and signed by a Who’s Who from Manchester United including every member of the current first team squad, will be auctioned in aid of UNICEF.
“Qatar Airways is proud to associate with the launch of Manchester United Opus, the first- of- its- kind book that captures the club’s historic moments. It is an association of pure excellence,” said Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer.
