China Super League club Shenzhen Kingway has accepted an invitation from the Indian Football Association to take part in the IFA Shield in Kolkata from 5-15 December. Sinosoc noted that the 2004 champions, who finished in eleventh place this season, will be the first Chinese side to play in India and will face five of India's top club sides: Mahindra United, Kingfisher East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan Sporting and Sporting Club de Goa. Teams will be divided into two groups of three with the top two from each qualifying for the semi-final stage. The invitation was arranged by Prosporta in association with Leisure Sports Management and all the matches will be broadcast live in India by ESPN.
