A-League club Adelaide United, where former Brazil international Romario is on loan, has signed a partnership deal with United Soccer Leagues club Miami FC, Soccer Investor reported. The first fruit of the agreement is a trial given to two Brazilian players, a forward and a midfielder, on the books of the United States outfit. The clubs first made contact when Adelaide United showed interest in borrowing Romario. “We hope to see more South American players in the future. The links are already being established thanks to Romario," chief executive, Michael Petrillo, said. Romario is reportedly due to receive US$250,000 for four matches.
