China ClubFootball has announced that the 2006 MasterCard World Community Cup will be held in Beijing on 2-3 September as an integral part of MasterCard's Charity Football Campaign, which aims to raise 1 million RMB for charity in 2006. This year's beneficiaries will be the Red Cross, Unicef, and the Beijing-based Huiling charity, and the campaign will feature a series of one-day events, backed up by a MasterCard-sponsored ClubFootball Community Card, and a series of SMS competitions offering fans the chance to win genuine World Cup and European football memorabilia.
