THE better than "rated" achievements of the Australian national football team in the 2006 FIFA World Cup are being celebrated with the special edition release of a stamp sheet. Australia made it through to the second round after beating Japan, drawing with Croatia and defeated by Brazil but were eliminated by Italy in the final controversial moments of their match. Players Mark Viduka, Tim Cahill, Mark Schwarzer, Harry Kewell, John Aloisi, Craig Moore, Marco Bresciano and Brett Emerton, along with coach Guus Hiddink, all feature. The nine green and gold 50c stamps from the 'Soccer in Australia' stamp issue are available at Australia Post from today, AAP reported.
