It will be one last bash at Singapore's National Stadium for football rivals Malaysia and Singapore when they face each other in the annual home and away series. The 55,000 capacity stadium will be torn down after this to make way for a new sports complex. Rizal Abdullah of The Star (Malaysia) noted that many bitter battles have been fought at the 33-year-old stadium, famous for its “Kallang Roar”, which "has been somewhat muted since Singapore withdrew from the Malaysian League after the 1994 season".
