Participants in Thailand's 36th King's Cup football tournament in Phuket, Krabi and Phang-Ngar (24-30 December) will be limited to the national sides of Thailand, Qatar, Malaysia and North Korea. Football Association of Thailand secretary-general, Mr Worawai, reportedly said eight teams were originally scheduled to take part but this was reduced to four because of the imminent launch of the new Thailand Premier League. The new league was set to start on 27 December but the date has been delayed to early 2006.
